THE WEB IS BECOMING AN INTEGRAL PART of our working and playing world. Being able to develop
information on the web might be a job skill, a
class requirement, a business necessity, or a
personal interest. Unlike any other previous
medium, the ability to use HTML allows you to
connect with millions of people,
as you would a journalist.
HTML provides unique way of describing and
displaying information. The elements of HTML
describe
what your information is, not
how it should be displayed. HTML will
let you describe this piece of information as a
header, or that piece of information as an
address. It will not let you describe this text as
being a specific font or justified left or right.
The
challenge is to provide professional page layout
and design
without using the traditional tools of
old printing standards. Sound like a
paradox? Not really. All it involves is a bit of
trust.
